This project was inherited from a foreign designer who left this listed property in a sea of problems both in terms of planning and building control consents. A significant budget was required to reinstate the original listed features of this building and implement the renegotiated proposals, including fireplaces, parquet floors, ornaments and various external elements. Certain materials and some fixtures were obtained or commissioned by the previous designer, and had to be incorporated into the new layouts.
After 11 months of construction the project was completed in early 2006 to the Client’s satisfaction while at the same time being acclaimed by the RBKC conservation department. The second stage will involve the soft fit-out and furniture design.
